Anal and the young

General discussion of the anal only lifestyle. If it doesn't fit elsewhere or isn't a personal comment or question, it probably goes here.

Anal and the young

Post by FarmerDan » Fri Apr 24, 2015 3:25 am

Here's a thought provoking article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/mother ... ition.html which is of relevance to recent discussions about how young people should be encouraged to adopt anal for various reasons.

It's an opinion piece, so don't let it get under your skin.

First of all, it seems that significant numbers of young people (at least in the UK) are getting into anal (good). But on the other hand it seems that plenty of them fail to understand that it takes significant time and effort to get right (not good).

Logically, what should happen here is that sex ed classes should teach the kids how to have good anal. What are the chances of that happening?

Btw when I was a teenager my elders treated oral sex with the same sort of horror that anal is getting here. These days people are more likely to be horrified if they find that you don't indulge in it.
It's a lifestyle folks not a 2 minute sprint

Great post. I couldn't agree more. It is great that anal is becoming more acceptable, to the degree more and more young people are open to it. They need to be taught how anal should be done, rather than told it shouldn't be done. It should be encouraged over vaginal sex for the numerous reasons we are all familiar with.

Of course, they should be taught the importance of condoms to reduce the spread of STDs. However, as we all know, they all too often don't use them, resulting in a high teenage pregnancy rate. Anal sex would virtually eliminate this risk, greatly reducing teen pregnancy rates. I think the condom crowd makes it sound like you need to use condoms, even if you are a monogamous couple who are clean of any diseases. Young people should be taught the truth that, if they are both virgins, or they are both tested and free of disease, anal sex can be done without condoms are the need for other birth control with virtually no risk of pregnancy.

We can only hope that, someday, anal sex will be as common as oral sex among teens. If that day ever comes, I think vaginal sex will pretty much be relegated to the purpose of procreation.

On a side note, my wife and I have discussed the fact that we wished we would have tried anal sex to begin with. We met as teens in high school. There were so many times we either didn't have sex, or risked pregnancy, because we didn't have a condom. Then we would live with the fear of her getting pregnant. Oh, the number of pregnancy test kits we bought. I can only imagine how much better it would have been to feel as though we could have sex virtually anytime and experience the feeling of sex without a barrier, without the fear of pregnancy.

I know two people from my workplace whose teenage daughter recently became pregnant. Imagine what those families would be spared, had their daughters been having anal sex instead.

The scandalized tone of the article is just this, a reaction to changing sexual standards. Some adults can't accept the fact that their innocent daughters might be willing and happy to have anal sex. So they have to imagine it as some horrible thing being done to them. These people should ask themselves: Would it be better for these girls to have vaginal intercourse, get pregnant, and drop out of school?

I do think educators have a role to play in encouraging safe and comfortable anal sex, given that it's happening anyway. When I was in school there was a moral battle over whether the schools should (a) teach kids about STDs, and (b) provide condoms to the students. Eventually the "moralists" relented when everyone saw the high costs of misinformation (STDs, teen pregnancy). I notice now you can get free condoms at my son's middle school (ages 11-14).

Let's be honest too, most of these kids' sexual education is coming from porn. I think anal porn could do a lot more to show "complete" anal experiences: Tongue and fingers to slowly open the anus, how to use plugs, lubricants, and so on.

More information on this topic. Here is a forum thread where teens discuss their first experiences with anal:
http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showt ... p?t=209639

Many girls first had anal at 13 or 14 years old, and were usually introduced to it by an older boyfriend. Several cite birth control as a reason they do anal.

Its about time anal was given a fair and even footing. All they need do is educate about the facts, as all education should be, without bias or any agenda. Young people are going to do so anyway and experiment, especially as it's now viewed as just like any other act. So why not provide them with the best start so that they get it right, safely and enjoyably?

I read the article. The problem isn't anal (which is safer for teens than vaginal) but boyfriends being assholes and not treating the girlfriends right. Teaching how to do proper anal and about respecting each other and the problem would be solved.

Many young girls are choosing anal over vaginal for the reason that, "one up the bum means no babies." But likewise many who try it for this reason, find that not only do they prefer it, they go on to long term relationships where anal is an important part of their sex lives, if they don't go exclusively anal, which is also getting much more common.

I am 19 going on 20, Does that still make me the young ?? :) In any case i am close to this young generation, I have never been very religious myself but my girlfriend in middle school was, we used to talk about staying virgins...Through high school allot of the girls had anal sex , some as part of it, some AO, and definitely with their older boyfriends for sure as most Highschool girls i knew anyway had mostly older boyfriends, mine is 6 years older for example. I am still a Vaginal virgin, although i actually asked him last year if he wanted to try anal sex together ( best thing i ever did ! ) LOL.. Now we have sex almost every day, some times twice :) I feel sexier and more confidant since i actually have a sex life now, My guy says always how happy he is ! which makes me happy ! I am not on any chemical birth control ( thank god as all my girlfriends hate theirs ). No condoms as we are of course a monogamous couple, we are always just careful about fluids going near my kitty, He will normally cum deep inside me, I have been happy and healthy.. LOL I know i am a weir-do But i like staying a virgin, I like having a Anal Only sex life, i really like the kinky taboo associated with it.....Amy

I agree with Amy here. It has been a long time since I was a teenager but I remember much the same. We had a Catholic girls high school near where I lived and dating anyone from there was essentially and anal only situation. When I started dating my first wife, she was very Christian and a virgin, so anal became the norm. Even the night before our wedding in her parents basement she demanded one last good anal session before she gave up her virginity the next day. I took her standing against a wall, her hands spread and ass pushed out at me...still a vivid memory a long time later. Not that we gave up our anal sex after marriage, it was still was how we always preferred to finish a session. But I have always thought anal is a good option for the young to satisfy urges, learn how to please yourself ad your partner and avoid pregnancy. I travel all over the world now with my work and, while it isn't often talked about, anal is really common amongst the local populations and especially the young for those very reasons. Extremely common in Muslim societies.

Anyway, I don't want Amy to feel she is't doing something taboo and adding to he excitement....you absolutely are and I hope your BF appreciates it!

Hey guys! My first post on here!

I've only recently turned 18 so i guess the article covers me and my peers age group.
You've really no idea how prevalent Anal sex is amongst my age group. Some girls really don't like it but do it anyway because they feel they have to to keep their bf happy, which is ridiculous, you should never do it if YOU don't want to. Others do it for a reputation, strange fact that some girls really do like to do anal purely so people know they're a bit "dirty", but most of my friends that do it genuinely enjoy it and/or use it as the ultimate form of birth control.

Personally, I've been sexually active for 6 years, but I've never had vaginal sex. Not once. I'm not saying I never would, but I really can't see me doing it unless it's to get pregnant.

I love anal, I can multiple orgasm from it, feel amazing before during and after and I'm not alone, my best friend Laura is the same. So yeah, a few of us are clued in :)
