Hell, I don't have time to respond to threads I started, but I had to comment on this one. I have read many articles that, when put together, would lead to this logical conclusion.

It's been a given for many years that there is a greater risk of catching an STD (or HIV even)through anal sex than vaginal. This is because the lining of the rectum is thinner and the blood vessels are closer. As well, should the penis be beyond the rectal valves (at the top end of the colon) the man's ejaculate will go into the colon, where absorption is even higher. Therefore it stands to reason the positive benefits would increase due to higher absorption of the positive compounds mentioned in the article.

I've read similar stuff on your blog before and elsewhere. While the truth is that there has never been sufficient medical research in this area (even more so with absorption rectally), my own feeling is there is something in this.

After years of AO with my wife there is something that can't be accounted for. Maybe it is just like the placebo effect, and all in the mind, but she seems overall happier and more content than ever. Hopefully this is not just the rose-tint before my eyes

I don't think it's made much difference to be honest. It wouldn't really bother me if we started having vaginal sex again. Vaginal sex is perfectly fine.

Lastly, we have been able to dispense with any form of birth control. This really is an enormous boon, although not an initial consideration.

Same here, although I think is more a benefit for her than me.
