First, let me say that you might see the rectal valves referred to as the Houstons Valves, rectal folds, or (as Marcus pointed out from the illustration) the transversilis, or transverse folds. These are all one in the same.

I’m just curious, if you’ve been doing anal for years, why have you only now come to go past the colon? Was it an issue of trying new positions? Did you not go in balls deep until now? Did it take her time to loosen up take you in completely?

Generally, when a woman squirts, she is pushing down. Perhaps she already does this, so you don't realize it? The rectum generally feels open once you pass the sphincters. So, you generally feel a tight grip at the base of your cock, and not much beyond that. If she pushes her colon down, it should feel more like your cock is in a snug (not tight), soft, textured (similar to the vagina), tube.
