Think about it this way-
If a straight man were to approach anal sex as if the rectum was like a masturbation sleeve (or masturbation device), then he should have no problem having anal sex with a man or a woman. But many people have a hard time approaching sex in that way.
If a straight man had anal sex with another man who looked and acted like a women and he believed the man was a women because he failed to notice his male genitalia, would this be considered gay sex? I don't think it would.
