And I mean it.
Just forget about some expensive lubes that often do not work properly every time and for all toys and try making your own lube. I am sure you will be fully satisfied with the result, just as me.

Inspired by a member of AOL community, I decided to try xanthan gum as a lube and then I made my first home-made lubricant with another ingredient. What I got is just excellent.

Advantages:
You can use it with whatever material - silicone, TPR including. The production is very simple and cost minimal. You can also make your own amount, density (thicker, or thinner) just according to your needs.
All the ingredients are easily obtainable and natural, so you shouldn't experience any discomfort such as burning unless you are allergic to some of those substances.

Disadvantages:
None that I would be aware of.

After you are finished with your lube, it is good to leave it rest at least for 2 hours so that the lumps dissolve and you get compact gel. It is also possible to add small amount of coconut oil, not necessary though.
Even the xanthan gum itself is enough for making a good lube, but I believe that adding glycerin makes it better.

I completely agree! I can't remember if I was promoting this particular lube before your post or after it, but damn it's good!

In my humble opinion, it feels exactly like real cum. Add a bit of salt, and it tastes exactly like real cum too. Use as much as you like, and it doesn't get sticky like a lot of other water-based lubes do. They only get sold that way because they have a long shelf life anyway.

Which is about the only downside of Xanthan gum. It goes bad after a while. It takes a couple weeks though I think.

Yes, it was you who has inspired me. It all started after you had mentioned the Xanthan gum on chat and I just wanted to try it.
I found out that you really needn't to use Glycerine, small amount of Coconut oil is very good substitute.

Glycerine accelerates dissolving Xanthan gum in water but it isn't essential. Some people choose to avoid the Glycerine completely, so adding Coconut oil is better choice for them.

The lube shouldn't destroy toys made of 100% Platinum organic silicone, at least I haven't observed anything like that so far.

Have not tried this yet partly because we love coconut oil. We use the regular (organic) type which is very inexpensive and is solid above 75 degrees Fahrenheit. But just put it in your hands or anywhere else and it will melt. We also use fractionated coconut oil which is always liquid. Great for the skin, good smelling, etc.

I don't generally use lube however when our friends join us then I use coconut oil but only a little drop. Our other friends use silicone based lube which works for them. Your homemade recipe sounds very interesting. We will give it a try next weekend. Thank you for sharing

Folks, Glycerine is an hyperosmotic laxative. It will make most people draw water in to their intestines and have a bowel movement within an hour or so. For others it causes a minor spasm to the colon and stimulates a bowel movement.

Pornstars use the liquid version to perform the infamous "dry enema" in which the glycerine causes the rectum to spasm to the colon and releases any fecal matter contained. Since no water is used it is called a dry enema...even though the Glycerin is wet...
