Lack of awareness

I've been thinking a lot recently about this community and how it's now been active for many years. Of course, people have been anal only forever but it's only since the last decade that we've learned how many others dream of the same thing. However, it's like what could have been the start of a huge shift in sexual attitudes just stalled. Outside of a few mentions, there hasn't been the impact that I would have expected.
Partly, as I said on the blog, I think that the community has been buried under porn in the search rankings. Although porn hasn't definitely changed and become a little more anal-centric, it's almost like they've co-opted the movement purely in the pursuit of profit. That isn't what people in the lifestyle are about. We want others to find out about this amazing change they can make to their lives and enjoy it.
So other than porn, why is there still so little awareness? With all the thousands of testimonials and our own experiences anal only is obviously a positive thing, for the many reasons we all know about. Do some elements like double-anal and clit-denial put people off? I know these are the more extreme fringe of the lifestyle and not practised by everyone, but does it come across to outsiders as a fetish? Is it that that stops people from seeing anal only as natural, healthy and normal?
What do you think?
