The importance of anal
Talking about my own experiences and current situation had got me thinking. Now, I know their aren't so many other women on the forums, which this is mostly directed at, but anyone is free to answer.
I've noticed that with men, for the ones interested in anal, they generally are very passionate about it. They appear to derive more pleasure, both mental and physical, than those who have other preferences - oral, for example. Also, less likely to be happy or willing to settle for their non-preferred activity. But they are also more obsessional. Does this ring true? Most guys just want to get-off regularly and don't care much how but the guys who like anal are much more focused and willing to compromise, with the alternatives leaving them unsatisfied.
The payback, however, is that they've also been (in my experience) more patient, more interested in my needs, and with a greater emotional and intimate connection.

Re: The importance of anal
Well, from my perspective, there's definitely been a change with my fella.
We're closer, and he is more in tune with my needs now than he was when we we would do vaginal.
He still likes me to go down on him, but he's choosing anal with me over vaginal now.
I'd say going anal only has really improved our relationship.

I would definitely agree with your observations. As a male I would also describes my preference as obsessive. I am definitely dissatisfied with the vaginal option. In contrast when anal is on the menu I am much more passionate, loving, etc with my wife. I feel closer and more intimate with her during anal. Non-anal porn bores me.

That's because when you've given your best, your best comes back to you.
Obsessional and passionate? Absolutely!!!

I don't enjoy vag sex anymore. Lacks the intensity

But did you enjoy it at some stage in your life? What changed?
Re: The importance of anal
Having anal sex with my gf is the most important thing in my life. I guess some would call it obsessive but they have no clue what its like. Going AO has made a massive difference for us and now i'm finally happy with our sex life its just great.

Hub and I are not AO but we're A-frequent. He's happy with whatever is available, but I know he prefers anal. He definitely responds to the increased intimacy but also feels a sense of power/conquest.

Do you see being the most important thing as a problem? What difference did it make? Why weren't you happy before?

So anal isn't a critical thing for either of you? It doesn't sound as if it is as important as it is for some individuals.
The power thing isn't something that I've noticed, though it is something frequently mentioned. The funny thing is the I've always seen vaginal more as the traditional way in which males have asserted their dominance.
