My wife used to get small cracks (or fissures) on her anus and perineum after we had a lot of anal sex. As I wrote about earlier on this forum, I started putting a hydrocortisone cream on her each night before bed. (It's part of our bedtime ritual, something we both look forward to.) For us this has worked wonders! Any cracks on her anus will typically heal in 2 or 3 days and we are back in action.

My doc says about every sexually active adult has been exposed to HPV somehow. The body normally fights it off.
