When I discovered silicone lube for anal I never went back to water based. I'd rather have a stained sheet than an injured ass. My (vanilla) gf recently told me she exclusively uses coconut oil as lube. i don't know if she does anal. I use coconut oil as moisturizer but I wouldn't think it would be a slick enough lube for extended anal.

We are going to try it now that we are anal only, and doing ATM regularly. I want to find something more natural and better tasting than silicone.. has anyone used a natural oil as their go to lube?

We use coconut oil very successfully. If it feels not slick enough to you, add some more.

Xanthan gum. It is a food product, and tastes good. It is totally water soluble. When you cook it up, you can make it as thick or thin as you like. It makes absolutely no stains, wipes off your body with a damp towel, and gently cleans your skin. I also use it in place of soap and shampoo. It does not dry out your hair or your skin, as it has no harshness, and does not dissolve your body's natural oils. You would be amazed at how effective a lube this is. Greasy oils can't even approach its slickness.

We also use coconut oil and I not so secretly hope it will make ATM easier for her

First time I've ever heard of this - any lubes for sale that use this? Probe Thick used to be good but feels thinner now? (Water based). When we go to wash it off though, when it first touches soap it becomes insanely slick, like layers of mucus sliding against eachother or something, incredibly slippery, but also sticks to whatever it's on and doenst wash away. I wish it was like that during normal use (mixed iwth a bit of soap it becomes an irritant internally of course).

I've seen all-natural formulations that use this, but they are crazy expensive. They cost $10+ for a tube that might last a week. They also have extra ingredients that are wholly unnecessary, apart from leading you to think you could not make your own. You can get a pound of the powder from Amazon for $13. You cook your batches as you need them. A pound would last most people for more than a year, if used exclusively as lube.

While coconut oil may work well at anal intercourse, it is not too much good lubrikant for silicone anal toys. The lubrication just isn't sufficient regardless of amount one uses.
I would say from experience that it cannot beat the standard water or silicone based lubricants in this regard.

I'd have to agree. We've now tried it and it's nice that it's natural, and I definitely like that it makes ATM a coconut infused experience, but for long hard sessions, we will be using silicon.

A bit of a tangent, but does anyone know what kind of lube they use in porn? They are professionals, so it must be effective. But it's never shiny. It looks like there's nothing there at all. I've been watching a lot of hardcore porn on legal porno and i can't help but notice the lack of visible lube.
