I do enemas regularly, but never can seem to get "cleaned out". I would feel more comfortable going anal only if I could assure I wouldn't get feces on my fiancé.

If clean water comes out of you, then you should be cleaned out well. Big enemas are always more risky as for possible additional leaking of stool remnants as water usually reaches the whole colon.
In my opinion, no one can absolutely rule out that some leak of stool will not happen during anal play, unless you have hydrocolontheraphy undergone beforehand.

Small repeated enemas by way of an enema bulb until clean water comes out should be sufficient precaution.
