Well, it is not impossible to piss with a hard on. The issue is the type of hard on.
See, there is a little sphincter muscle at the base of the bladder that prevents semen from getting into the bladder during sex. That is why it is virtually impossible to piss with an erection. Essentially, when a guy is aroused and gets wood that sphincter is clamped tight. But all hard ons aren't caused by arousal and said sphincter does not always have the house on lockdown. With morning wood I can tell you I have no issue peeing except for the fact I don't want to piss on the wall. I would also suspect that hard ons caused by viagra might meet with similar results. It is also fairly possible one might be able to train themselves to control this shincter, though I have no idea how that could be acheived.

Me personally, if I am hard and I can’t cum because the urge to pee is overruling the need to cum, I need to sit on the toilet and wait untill my hardon decreases a lot before even one drop of pee comes out.

Like @hdean667 say it feels like a tap gets opened and thennit flows. But absolutely not before.
