Like most women, I suppose, anal is one of those things you experience once you become sexually active. It was never a big deal for me and if a guy asked for it, I would usually agree even though I didn’t get much out of it (other than a sore bottom, ha ha). Once a person learns the "art of anal," they discover that the anus can accommodate any size penis, and in many cases more adequately than the vagina. The problem of hitting a woman's cervix during intercourse, depending upon her structural anatomy, can happen even with a partner who has a smaller to average size penis. Do you either of you find that your first encounter with a long penis required some extra training to get past the inner sphincter? I've found that if the receiver is really turned on it opens along with the outer sphincter but at other times it can require its own bout of gentle persuasion.

I can certainly relate to what notnice66 said (on the male side of the bargain, though: the first time I could go "full depth" (it was close) I felt like crying, no joke) and endorse what amorous945 said.

When I was young I've always had trouble either for girth, length or both. Since already having difficulties with the traditional route, very few (none) girls would even consider anal lovemaking a possibility. Being young only added insult to injury since now that I look back, I can definitely blame to a certain extent a degree of overall clumsiness in all. Anyway... as I grew older and gained experience (confidence, skill, etc.), I started to notice that, once prepared (although it can take time and practice), the whole place (anus, rectum, sigmoid colon...) was able to accommodate me in a much easier and comfortable way than the vagina. From then onwards it's been an uphill path.

I must say that the extra time and care usually needed, be a matter of days, weeks or more only enhances the bonding and overall intimacy of the whole lovemaking experience, so now I recommend it for pretty much everybody regardless of the situation.

Thanks for the comments. Now that I read over what I wrote, I want to clarify something. The point is not that I go looking for big cocks to fuck my arse (I don't), but that if I happen to hook up with a guy who is oversized, then it is no longer a worry for me. In fact, I am more attracted to normal size guys - less preparation and (often) no need for lube other than a dab of saliva, so things can be pretty spontaneous.
