I've been away from the forum since last year but now I'm back I remember what a great place this is! But on to the main point....

Since late last year we've been anal only! Nothing that we've consciously decided or discussed, it just happened organically. I'm feeling relaxed enough to be past the point of will she / won't she want to have vaginal sex.

congratulations! it just kind of happened organically it sounds like. may be time to check in with her and see how she's enjoying it and then see if you both want to make it official.

Although it kind of happened by itself and we reached anal only (like many couples) by unspoken agreement, I don't think it ever happens without at least one partner having a clear idea of what they want and a will to get their. In this case it was what I wanted, but she happily went along. Making it "official" doesn't seem necessary as it's not like we are announcing our AO status to the world.
