Have told close friends, her close friends have seen pics on our phones while drunk, even hinted it to her mother.
My close friends love anal too, will joke about with us, her friends don't judge because most don't have boring sex lives either.

Excellent thread!

The fact that Anal is considered "abnormal" is precisely what is holding back it's acceptance - in this day and age, where media rules the roost and forms most peoples opinions, I think the best way this situation could be reversed is if (female) celebrities come out and say how much they love Anal!

Next thing you know, everybody will be loving Anal as it's been "validated" by popular culture and is now the latest fashion among the brightest and best lol!

Sadly, I think you are correct. People do and say whatever they think everybody else is. They just need to be told.

Given the increasing sexualisation of western culture, and with celebrities having nearly run out of things to use for shock value, I guess it is now only a matter of time...

I was out with some mates not long ago and the subject of porn came up. It was after more than a few beers so the guys opened up more than perhaps they normally do. Out of the 4 of us ALL the lads said they preferred watching anal clips over anything else and nobody looked surprised or thought it was unusual or anything like that.

Now, I know that's not quite the same as coming out as anal lovers as I've no idea what they do at home, but it's a clear indication of the male attidtudes of my generation. I'm pretty sure if you asked any other group they'd probably say the same thing mostly. It's just sex after all, and these days its looking more and more like the preffered sex if you ask me.

I see that as a round about way of "coming out". It's a safe way, when people people are still unsure of the reception. I've no doubt, if they claim to prefer watching anal porn then they either are already having anal sex and prefer it, or very much want to.

That's how I read it as well. It may have not been explicitly stated but I got a sense that that's what was on everyones mind and that we were all in agreement. I don't know why we didn't just come out and say it - I'm as bad as the rest. I like to imagine their reaction if I told them about how I'm working towards AO! Jealous much

Just felt like sharing, was with some friends who i enjoy telling sexual based jokes and trivia with. I happened to mention that it's been dubbed "Anal Only August" this month, and every time i came in since, they'd ask how Anal August going for me, acknowledging they know I enjoy anal sex.

I was on a radio show with all women recently when the topic of anal sex came up. I sat there tight lipped but not surprised as anal was demonised as this painful, dangerous act. Then I could take it no more and piped up in defence of anal sex. No, I didn't announce on air (Before the child friendly watershed) that I love anal, but I did say it is greatly misunderstood and it would be refreshing to hear from both sides, those that like it and those that don't, rather than it always being the detractors that get on their soap box.

You should have seen the eyes pop wide open of the other ladies in the studio. Later, the one that had attacked anal sex the most admitted to not having had sex (of any kind) in 15 years.

Since when does someone celibate choose to be an authority on sexual practice?? That's the problem. The blinder leading the blind.

The other friends all joined in voicing that they think anal sex is gross and/or painful and out of the whole group, two of them were dead set against it and one confessed to having done it once and didn't like it. At first, my wife was reluctant to be honest about it but she decided that it's time to start trying to work against the negative stigma and so she told her girlfriends that she does it and actually rather enjoys it.

. :)

I wish I could have heard this radio programme. There surely must have been a stunned silence here that spoke volumes!

Same here! Might also have shocked them to have heard a Woman defending Anal.
