Hi there, im a mid 40s guy in the uk. My partner of 6 years has suddenly started to ask for anal more frequently and has suggested moving to this as her preferred way of having sex.

I’ve tried anal penetration myself and didn’t find it particularly enjoyable so I’m a bit perplexed at her sudden shift in attitude. I’ve joined this group to try and get some perspective and maybe to help understand this relatively sudden change in preference.

Sounds like you have a good relationship but you need to talk a little more.
Could be all sorts of reasons, from feeling vaginal discomfort to keeping up with her friends to wanting to try new things with you.
She'll probably be more than happy to fill you in .

Not trying to be glib, but I can't tell you why somebody else enjoys it.

I enjoy it because it is a deeper lower frequency "bass" thump-yhimp-thump that pushes a mountain slowly over a big cliff so to speak.

There are other reasons that are more personal, but that deep resonance "bass wave" is huge.
