Been doing anal only for about a year now and am loving it. Welcome! Do any such friends who are in the know seem interested, or do they all remain unconvinced? I ask because I'm interested in how much people's apparent shock and horror (etc.) at the idea of anal sex is influenced by friends.

One of my friends got a bit more interested, and she told me she had tried anal once but it wasn't enjoyable for her. I tried talking to her about how you can't rush it and you have to take your time. It hurt for me at first too. But if you listen to your body and warm up with dildos and fingers you'll have a great experience. And once you have learned to do it right...ohh boy is it good! I told her about the first time I had an orgasm with him in my ass, how amazing that was and how much he liked it because of my muscles pumping all around his dick. She told me after that she would try some more. But I haven't heard anything about it after that.
She's the only one of my friends who will have a dirty conversation like that. The others who know about our lifestyle haven't really said anything and none of them wants to really discuss any details really.

That's a significant milestone for most people. By a year it is something you're both sure about, and something unlikely to change. Then vaginal sex becomes something you rarely think of, or worry about, again.

Yes, the birth control aspect was a big incentive for my wife and I. The pill really interfered with her in a big way, which isn't uncommon, so I'm not sure why it remains so popular. Not to mention all the other emerging evidence for long term harm.

I was amazed, how much the quality of his erections improved when we started with anal. As you say, anal can be all of those things. That's because anal is the perfect replacement for everything that vaginal can be, but better.

I can totally empathise with your boyfriend: for our anal sessions I get so much more aroused with much better quality erections. For vaginal (which is still the majority) it is getting harder and harder to get sufficiently aroused to begin or even make it through to the end.
May I ask who's idea AO was? And I assume he's not missing vaginal now that you've stopped that?
