Welcome dyno. We do have more active times around here. Unfortunately, despite new members almost daily, too few contribute beyond the introductions and then conclude that the community isn't active...

It is what you make of it. I personally believe we have the potential to be a huge community, but these things take time to gather momentum. The term "anal only" is just about beginning to be heard outside of our little niche collection of sites, and I expect soon will be a commonly understood term. When that happens more people will decide to investigate the lifestyle for themselves and hopefully come away with a positive view of it.

Im not so sure - I think the low level of activity here is sadly a permanent fixture.

Perhaps "Anal Only" was the wrong way to go as it interests only a tiny minority of people - "Anal Enthusiasts" might have been a better draw as it has much wider appeal.

Maybe more activity could be generated by increasing the focus on Anal porn and encouraging Anal hookups - kinda like an Anal-centric Match.com lol!

I created an account just to reply to this statement; THAT is what I'm looking for. I've seen a few "anal only" dating sites, but any dating site that asks for money upfront without letting me see what I'm buying I take as a scam.

20 years ago, I think anal was regarded as "risque" and something only "those" people did. Today it's mainstream and common; I've yet to meet a woman who flat out refused. Most like it, and some prefer it. So why not cut to the chase and help women who prefer anal meet men who prefer anal? A dating site like that sounds perfect.

...or Match (Tinder?) could just put up a selection like "sexual preferences: anal only".

I don't want this site to turn into a dating site. I'm certainly not going to forbid people from expressing interest in dating people with similar interests, or from saying they're available, but there are a lot of downsides to a dating site that I think would harm the open discussion environment that currently exists here.

Most dating sites are greatly skewed in gender, with most women getting overwhelmed with communication (most of it poor quality) from men, and most men not getting contacted or responded to by women, in part because even if they send a good message it gets drowned out by all the other messages. Factor in a dating site around a specific sexual preference that more men are (at least openly) interested in than women and the few women who might decide to sign up are going to get spammed with creepy messages. I can't really see it working well for anyone.
