Some kind of lube was used at least, I hope? :o

Lovemaking is a subject that must be taught by the family and the family alone.

Utterly ridiculous.

I love constructive rebuttals like this one so I'll give it a shot to see how amazingly productive it can be on the long run: I find your comment 'Utterly ridiculous.' to be utterly ridiculous. :|

Here I must agree with Analonely: provided I'm not judging the content of his thought, I also think confutations should be explained, and this shall be a good case. In fact Analonely wasn't logically contradictory nor aggressive :)

I see those discussions as a way to start new topics. And when you discuss about something very specific (anal only...), you tend to become more extreme as the talk goes.

Well, in fairness, science is nothing more than a study of something (anything) with a rigid methodology of repeatable, verifiable, and quantifiable variables and results. So I would agree that the “science” of sex in the West has been too focused on the mechanics, physiology, and maladies related to sex, without enough focus on the emotional implications nor the subconscious drives underpinning them. (Eastern sciences tended to tackle them more fervently...before the days of Schopenhauer and introduction of Hindu and Bhuddist philosophy.)

...However... “scientism” is at best a pejorative term for those who reject superstition in favor of rational empiricism; at worst it’s a neologism invented by people who don’t understand what science is and—more importantly—what science isn’t.

Overwhelmingly, people who deride science —for not yet knowing (or not yet satisfactorily explaining) literally every phenomenon in existence—tend to be of the faithful, spiritual, or religious bent. Ironically, their strongest criticism of science (and by extension the people who champion scientific method) is—referring to it pejoratively as an “-ism”—as though it were simply...a religion. But... ...a different faith system than their own and therefor somehow inferior to the one they adhere to.

This perceived conflict between science and religion is fundamentally a misunderstanding of science, and an unfortunate oversimplification of the rich symbolism of many spiritual traditions.

Also...I for one am very glad that I did not learn the deeper, more complicated parts of sexual knowledge from my “family and family alone” ...that would be illegal in most civilized societies, not to mention traumatizing.

YMMV.

I don't even think most people would want to learn sex from their parents, nor do I think that most parents want to explain sex to their kids. It just feels plain weird for both sides. This is probably why in modern Western society we abscond it to schools, and in traditional society its been either absconded to the clergy, tribal elders. And even then it was more couched in broad general explanations rather then extensive detailed specifics.

I accidently stumble upon old interesting topics here.

So here the subject moves from “don’t use porn as sex ed” to “sex ed should be thought by family”.

Well I explained sex to my daughter at age 6. Really explained it. Why her privates were there and why girls and boys are different. My wife was there talking and explaining things too. She (daughter) listened for 5 mins and was distracted by something. But the first curiosity was gone. Later on, when our son was 6 we did the explaination again and his, then 9 year old, sis was now paying more attention.she asked some obvious questions which we aswered. By the time they got sex ed at school they came home telling us that the teacher got all weird and had trouble explaining thing or answering questions.

DON’T Leave it to teachers. You as parents are responsible for properly sexually educated children. Drop your shame and just do the right thing.

My kids have always talked freely about their sexlife. They always knew they could go to the right people for answers: their parents

Well, I like it when my wife gapes for me and I like it when she is closed tight up – I like it all. I especially like it if she gets her head stuck under the bed or in the tumble dryer and I can help her out by easing myself into her ass, hahaha. My parents told me the very, very basics, but were there if I needed to ask. School showed us a daft film that just confused us all; we thought all you had to do was lie on someone to get them pregnant and that sperm was blue.!! The real ins and outs I figured out for my self and had a lot of fun along the way. As far as anal is concerned, one time, in my teens, a girl I was seeing just mounted me and fucked me with her ass and it felt the best. She climbed of and had my cum dripping out of her ass hole and I realized what had just happened – I have been hooked on ladies ass holes ever since. I’ve not known an anal virgin whose ass I could have accidentally slipped into, but I can’t say it is an impossible thing – Who knows? I have slipped into a pussy by accident before now during Anal though.
