OkCupid?! I used it for much time and great efforts too... But never got anything serious from it, except once. That time we chatted for some days, but -long story short-, on the phone I fully understood she was not completely ok mentally (she continuously messed up facts and depicted differently things she had written via chat), so things ended just there.
I don't understand if the problem is me, the app itself (which I consider is built in a very clever and appealing way, so guess not), or the app users. I also suspect a not tiny part of them to be fake profiles.

Yes, okcupid comes with some risk. I also met my previous partner there, turned out to be a toxic personality, damaged by her own broken relationship, caused me lots of anxiety and pain, I ended with PTSD and some serious impact on my emotional bandwidth and some limitations on my sex-life.
